IPhone-12-and-12-PRO-Max
iPhone-12-and-12-PRO-Max

Also, there we some reports of iPhone SE 2 launch but Apple has not refreshed the iPhone SE for many years now.

Motorola is making a comeback, sort of. They have launched a very impressive smartphone this year – Moto G 5G Plus with new features and functionality.

It is the company’s first dual punch-hole selfie camera phone and also has the coveted 5G connectivity. Also, the primary camera rear camera offers Quad Pixel Technology.

The phone was unveiled on 8th July 2020 in Europe. However, India/rest of the world will have to wait for it. The new iconic phone is not expensive and costs $394 ( INR 29,491 approx.) for 4 GB RAM while $450 ( INR 33,715 approx.) for 6 GB RAM.

It has a stunning 6.7 inches full HD display with a resolution of 1080*2520 Pixel and 21:9 aspect ratio along with 409PPI. You also get the 90 Hz high refresh rate display.

Moto G 5G Plus is a head turner and is available in Surfing Blue color. It weighs 207 grams and has a 5000 mAH battery that comes with 20 Watts of Turbocharging.

The headphone jack is not dead, there is one alive on this Moto. The phone is made of polycarbonate and side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The mid-range smartphone is powered by Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 SoC and Adreno 620 GPU. It runs on Stock Android10 and has dual- sim support.

To keep things fast it comes with 4 GB LPPDDR4X RAM or 6 GB LPPDDR4X RAM with 64 GB and 128 GB UFS 2.1 Storage respectively.

The 5G phone has a punch-hole selfie camera with 16 MP lens and  f/2.0 aperture and a secondary wide-angle camera with 8 MP with f/2.2 aperture.

The triple rear camera includes 48 MP with f/1.7 aperture +8 MP 118-degree wide-angle view lens with f/2.3 aperture + 2 MP depth Sensor camera with f/2.2 aperture. It supports 4K with 30 fps for video quality.

18. Turing Smartphone

The Turing smartphone is one of the most mysterious devices ever announced and is most radically different in comparison to anything on this list.

Turing Announces 18 GB RAM 3 Snapdragon 830 4K Display Phone

The smartphone is alleged to come with an insane 18 GB of Ram, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, and will have a 4K display.

Turing Phone is so far a concept device and it has been more than 2 years since the phone was first announced but it has not yet seen the light of the day.

A dream device with every spec blow out of proportion is what the company is dreaming.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM FUTURE SMARTPHONES 2020?

If I have to visualize the future of smartphones and concepts and ideas for 2020 –  here are the top 6 future ideas that will be popular in the coming years.

The focus has been entirely shifted, from large computing devices (PC and laptop) to incredibly powerful smartphones with devices like OnePlus 8 having 12 GB RAM or Samsung using its DEX technology to turn your phone into a PC.

Computers and laptops are quickly getting replaced with highly capable smartphones with ever exceeding computing power; I don’t have to switch on a laptop now for a lot of tasks.

Responsive website designs and Apps have made the internet a great place for mobiles.

Phones are no more just a mode to communicate anymore, they are used to do so much more and in ways never imagined before.

    GREAT BATTERY BACK-UP

The battery life is probably the weakest part of smartphone technology. They hardly last a day with high pixel resolution displays (Quad HD) and more power-hungry processors.

There is a need for compact batteries which can last 3-4 days with a single charge and should be much more compact than the current batteries.

    4K BEZEL-LESS DISPLAYS

Sony already has a smartphone with 4K display Sony Xperia Z5 – Worlds Highest 806 PPI 4K Display Smartphone Unveiled. Due to battery life constraints, 4K displays are not getting popular, but improvement in battery storage can lead to the return of 4K in mobile devices.

    ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

With Google Assist and Siri, Apple and Google are trying to bring in more artificial intelligence to mobile computing devices.

The voice recognition and contextual understanding of assistants is improving and we can expect more powerful AI-based voice assistants in the coming years.

    AUGMENTED REALITY

Augmented Reality, Google’s Project Tango, was one of the promising starts. However, it has lost steam. We may see a resurgence in 2020.

Tim Cook also has said multiple times that Apple is thinking big about the Augmented reality and it could be a more prominent development even when compared to the VR.

    VIRTUAL REALITY

While the virtual reality is getting some steam in recent years, there is much more to be done before the technology becomes mainstream.

Both the user experience and price for using it will come down by 2020. There will be more 3D content, videos, images, and games which can make the technology popular.

Google is working on daydream while there are several more VR developments from Samsung, Oculus, Sony, and HTC.

    SEAMLESS CONNECTIVITY (5G)

5G networks – I think the worst part of modern smartphones is the lack of seamless connectivity which kills the user experience.

The new phones in 2020 will have support for the 5G network and can have blazing-fast data speeds.

So that’s all from my side if you may like to read about top performance phones.
